Charleston Has a Hockey Culture — and It's Surprisingly Good

One of the things Terry and I enjoy most about living in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina is how easy it is to find relaxed, welcoming places to eat. You don't always need a big occasion. Sometimes the best evenings are simply grabbing dinner at a favorite local spot and enjoying time together.

If you've lived in the Charleston area for any length of time, you know the moment when spring officially arrives.

It isn't marked by a calendar date.

It's marked by yellow pollen covering absolutely everything.

Your car.
Your porch.
Your outdoor furniture.
Even the welcome mat by your front door seems to collect a golden layer overnight.
